Automation and digitisation of the supply chain in FMCG

The FMCG industry is on the verge of a technological revolution. Automation, big data, IoT and artificial intelligence are becoming standard in logistics, purchasing and distribution. Global brands are investing in technologies that reduce order fulfilment times, minimise errors and increase demand predictability.

AI-based systems can analyse historical sales data, seasonality, margins and consumer behaviour with an accuracy of several percent. Export companies use them to forecast demand in individual countries and better plan production.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is also very important: temperature sensors, humidity sensors, transport monitoring. Thanks to them, the entire chain — from the manufacturer to the recipient — becomes more transparent.

Digitalisation is not the future — it is the present. Companies such as Polwingo, operating in an international model, are natural beneficiaries of this transformation.
